کتاب American First Friends 2 کتاب ادوم از سری کتاب‌‌های آموزش زبان انگلیسی برای کودکانِ First Friends است. این سری که در سه سطح عرضه شده‌است و این مجموعه، مربوط به اولین سطح از آن است، مناسب برای کودکان و گروه سنی ۷ تا ۹ ساله‌ است. کتاب‌های First Friends توسط «سوزان لانوتزی» (Susan Lannuzi) نوشته شده‌است و انتشارات آکسفورد آن‌را به چاپ رسانده‌ است. American First Friends زیرمجموعه کتاب‌های First Friends است و تمرکز آن برانگلیسی آمریکایی است. این مجموعه شامل کتاب زبان‌آموز (Student Book)،کتاب کار (Activity Book)، کتاب راهنمای معلم (Teacher’s Book)، فلش کارت‌ها، فایل‌های صوتی و دو کتاب ضمیمه به نام کتاب اعداد (Number books)  که مربوط به آموزش اعداد برای کودکان است می‌شود. کتاب پیش رو، شامل کتاب زبان‌آموز، کتاب کار و فایل‌های صوتی است. 

درباره مجموعه کتاب American First Friends

در این کتاب‌‌ها بخشی به نام درس ارزش‌ها وجود دارد که در آن، تعالیم مدنی وجود دارد و تلاش می‌شود که مهارت‌های اجتماعی کودکان توسعه یابد. کودکان نمونه‌هایی از رفتار‌های خوب را می‌بینند و با ارزشیابی آن‌ها می‌توانند این رفتار‌ها را در زندگی خودشان انجام دهند. همچنین این مجموعه با استفاده از مکالمات جذاب برای کودکان، ترانه‌ها و داستان‌های مختلف، اعتماد به نفس لازم در کودکان برای صحبت در سطح خود به زبان انگلیسی را ایجاد می‌کند.
