Contrastive Analysis, Error Analysis, and Interlanguage

In this revised edition of Contrastive Analysis, Error Analysis, and Interlanguage, some outdated materials have been omitted and new materials have been added. Most noteworthy is the addition of an entirely new chapter on the role of corrective feedback in second language acquisition. Another major feature of the current edition is the provision of example sentences from diverse languages including Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Hausa, and Kurdish to illustrate the points under discussion. This will broaden the scope of the book and will potentially expand its readership. The author’s main intention in writing the book, however, remains the same: to provide EFL students and prospective teachers with a concise text on Contrastive Analysis, Error Analysis, and Interlanguage. The book is also intended to provide practicing teachers with insights into the nature and types of errors, with which they have to deal in their daily professional life
