The tried and trusted Show and Tell methodology prepares students for school readiness and future success. Different learning styles are accommodated by the great variety of activities and children are able to produce language at different levels according to their ability

The early literacy material contains stories that can be readand re-read for pleasure, activities to develop early reading and writing skills, and a systematic phonics syllabus. The development of fine motor skills is gradual and flexible, in keeping with the differing needs of individual children. The units contain stories, games, songs and chants, craftwork, and simple experiments. Problem-solving activities encourage children to think critically and creatively. Values lessons teach children how to behave both inside and outside the classroom. Stories, hand-eye coordination practice and letter formation activities lead to reading and writing simple sentences. The games promote collaboration and opportunities for natural peer-to-peer communication

The material is divided into nine thematic units, each posing the Big Question. The question is explored in different ways to build and broaden children's understanding, culminating in a project that integrates their learning and provides a real sense of achievement

The Show and Tell Activity Book provides further opportunities for practice of the vocabulary and structures presented in the Show and Tell Student Book

• Provides carefully scaffolded writing activities and further reading texts so that students can put the language they learn into practice
• In every unit there are opportunities for the children to think creatively and build upon what they have learned in the Student Book, particularly in the story, values and cross-ciricular lessons
• Opportunities for personalisation, including short end or unit projects to take home
• Enhanced lesson-for-lesson activities provide parents with step-by-step instructions to better support their child with their homework

Show and Tell Level 1 Numeracy Book

The enhanced Show and Tell Numeracy Book develops numeracy skills, combining counting and writing activities, with engaging puzzles and fun activities

Use alongside the Student Book to teach the core areas of pre-school mathematics, equipping students with the skills they need for Primary schoo

• The Numeracy Book now supports Show and Tell from level 1 with a revised syllabus for level 2 and 3
• The Numeracy Book covers the main areas of pre-school math progressively, with inbuilt recycling so learners repeat what they have learned
• The syllabus includes: number sense and operations, patterns, functions and algebra, geometry and measurement
• Suggestions for when to use the Numeracy Book are referenced at the bottom of the Student Book page, but this is flexible and can be used according to time and needs of the students

Show and Tell Level 1 Literacy Book

The Show and Tell Literacy Book helps students further develop early literacy and phonics skills

Use alongside the Student Book to provide extra reading and writing practice, equipping students with the skills they need for Primary school

• Provides extra reading and writing practice
• Each four-page unit provides practice of identfying, producing, reading and writing the sound-spelling patterns, first in isolation and then in words and short texts. The texts include rhymes, simple stories and non-fiction texts
• The Literacy Book now supports Show and Tell across all levels
• Level 1: introduces the letters and sounds of the alphabet
• Level 2: reviews the alphabet
• Level 3: builds on previous knowledge and covers common vowel sounds and spellings
• The Literacy Book is best used before the Say it with me lesson so that students have phonics practice little and often
